Advance Systems was founded in 1997 by Malachy Devlin. Malachy is a university graduate from University of Ulster in Computing and has previously worked with major I.T companies in the private sector before starting Advance Systems.

The company started out as a small computer workshop supplying PC's and services to the home market, however as this market became more competitive with the large retailers Malachy diversified into a more niche product that was to offer a dedicated service to small businesses - businesses who needed a service level agreement and unlike the home market need a specialist local based service.

This core business underwent significant growth and a move of premises to larger offices in Magherafelt has helped the company servixce its clients more easily. Along the way the company undertook some large scale development projects for local Government and soon developed a Web and Software development team alongside a Web Hosting department.
